AusNet wants to build a 190km high-voltage transmission line connecting Bulgana, near Ararat, to Sydenham, in Melbourne’s west.

And a 60 acre Terminal Station 12 x the MCG at Mount Prospect, 5 minutes west of Daylesford.

Powerlines

They want to build about 380 towers as tall as the MCG light towers!

Compare this to a normal single story home and you get the idea how devastating this is going to be to families who will have these things right next to their homes!

Is your property affected?

Terminal Station

Mt Prospect, on the Haintz property, is earmarked as the  site for the terminal station which will be 60 acres in size, the largest in southern Australia.

60 acres  is equivalent to about 12 MCGs!

Phil Cleary's short video shows what the terminal station looks like and where its proposed!!!

Timeline

AusNet's Project Timeline

The main players in this Ausnet WVTNP are Victorian Ag Minister Mary Anne Thomas, Ausnet’s Stephanie McGregor and Victorian Energy, Environment and Climate Change Lilly D’Amborsio.

Mary Anne Thomas has refused to acknowledge the Potato Industry’s plight with the project. McCain Foods has publicly stated that 1000 Hectarces is at risk if the transmission lines go ahead. Ms Thomas’ response is to go on 3 weeks holidays as of the 10/7/2021. Her office has been most unhelpful….

Stephanie McGregor continues to pedal claims of  community involvement and ignore the 99% of the region who say put your transmission lines down the Western Highway underground. Ms Gregor has caused untold mental stress upon the people of the region and continued to rail road her way through the properties of good Victorian families.

Minister D’Ambrosioherself is aware of the issue but supports the environment vandalism of the the region in the name of energy security for Melbourne at the expense of the regional Victorians and future generations. How can an Environment Minister sit back and let Stephanie McGregor’s Ausnet build a 60macre Terminal Station 12 x the MCG on a waterway with natural springs at the base of a scoria cone in pristine agricultural land in the name of the environment???

NEVER HAS AN ISSUE GALVANISED THE REGION LIKE THIS. ALL PARTS OF THE THE DIVERSE HEPBURN SHIRE AND NEIGHBOURING SHIRE ARE UP IN ARMS OVER THIS PROJECT!!!
